The "Black Beauty" produced in the 1920s was revived again in 1977, and among them, the most popular ones made from 1977 to 1981 are few in number and extremely rare. In addition to its rarity value, the sound and tone are very rich and can be used in a wide range of music genres.
Black Beauty sounds in any range. A wide range where you can feel the bass even at high pitches and get a solid sound at low pitches. It expresses a gutsy sound that captures the core while having the warmth of a wood shell. The attack sound is smooth and sweet, and it is an all-around snare that does not make you feel extra metallic sounds.
In addition to the head, the top and bottom hoops, strainer switch, butt, built-in mute, lugs, tension bolts, tension bolt washers are all made of brass, and snappy wires are all original parts. Sculptures were produced from 1979 to 1981, existed in two patterns, called six leaf four petal, and were immediately discontinued by the new owner, Selmer, as they were expensive and unprofitable. Therefore, it is treated as a very rare and rare item.
The condition is good, the black nickel remains clean, and there are small scratches, but it is a beautiful product.
